Hi, my name is Amanda, and I know firsthand how full and demanding life can be as a homeschooling parent. We juggle the roles of teacher, homemaker, chef, family manager, and more — often while trying to carve out a little space for our own work and self-care. It’s a lot, and it can feel overwhelming.

When I first started Field, my dream was to make homeschooling easier and more joyful for families. I planned and organized field trips; chances to step out into the world, learn through adventure, and connect as a community. For the first 14 months, we explored together: farms, wild places, artists’ studios, and historical sites.

But as time went on, I noticed something important: families wanted more handcrafts and creative workshops, and parents often needed break; a chance to drop off their children knowing they’d be in a safe, enriching environment.

Now Field has become a seasonal, craft-centered program. Each month follows a theme — like Fiber or Fire & Earth — weaving together handcraft, land tending, and occasional outings. Children learn through making, creating, and connecting with the rhythms of nature and the seasons. Parents can join in, or they can use the time to recharge or catch up on their own work.

What started as a dream of shared adventure has grown into something even deeper: a space where children root themselves in creativity and seasonal traditions, and parents find the support they need.

Field is here to bring beauty, rhythm, and connection into your homeschool life — for your children and for you.
